We are currently looking for a Pastry Commis Chef to complete our kitchen team.

The Rubens at the Palace Hotel is a stunning four star deluxe property located in the heart of London’s Victoria. This wonderful hotel features 161 individually designed bedrooms and suites, an established bar and lounge, two restaurants- one having a 2AA rosette and 9 function rooms where we are offering our guests a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.

We are currently looking for a Pastry Commis Chef to complete our kitchen team.

Key responsibilities of the Pastry Commis Chef will include:

  • Assisting in the day to day running of the pastry section
  • Ensuring that all buffet work including afternoon tea, petit four and biscuits is carried out to the set standard
  • Minimising wastage at all times
  • Ensuring that the freezer list is kept up to date
  • Ensuing that kitchen stations are kept clean, safe and hygienic at all times

 The ideal candidate for the Pastry Commis Chef position should:

  • Have previous experience in a similar role within a four or five star hotel or fine dining restaurant
  • Have good health and safety and food hygiene awareness 
  • Have good knowledge of using a wide range of kitchen equipments 
  • Communicate effectively in English
  • Be positive, proactive, reliable and have a flexible attitude
