We give kids the VIP treatment from the moment they arrive. That means big smiles to welcome them, and time for the shy ones to get used to their surroundings. Once they are feeling settled and comfortable our dedicated children’s guest services team will check them in separately. We take them through their own children’s preference form to confirm vital information – their favourite colour, drink, food and animal.
Travelling with a small baby can be daunting and does take a bit of planning. We find our guests are usually quite prepared with their own supplies, however we can always provide the following items on request:
We will place in all rooms travelling with a baby aged 0-2 years as standard the following items:
In addition, we can order in at a cost the following items specific to the parents needs:
Finally, book the services of a qualified nanny if you simply want to enjoy a worry-free evening out. Nanny services can be arranged directly via www.rockabyebabysitters.co.uk
We know it’s important to keep kids well fed, and that they have their particular favourite foods. From morning until night we can cater for a wide variety of tastes and preferences from the fussiest of eaters to the budding “foodie”. There are loads of delicious treats for them to choose from on our buffet breakfast in The Old Masters Restaurant. In the Cavalry Bar we have a separate children’s menu. And when it comes to Afternoon Tea, which can be enjoyed in the Palace Lounge overlooking the Royal Mews of Buckingham Palace, they will love our dedicated little Princes and Princesses selections!
One of the most popular experiences, which our small guests absolutely love, is the Rubens Pastry Experience. We begin with a tour of the hotel’s public areas. We then kit the kids up in full Rubens chef whites before heading to the main kitchen where they can see chef at work. If they’re lucky they might be able to sample something he’s cooking up at the time. Then we head to the pastry kitchen to meet our pastry chef. This is where the fun really begins as they learn to decorate their own cupcake! Chef will pack it up in a nice box or they can take it, along with their "Master Chef in the Art of Pastry” certificate back to the Palace Lounge where they can enjoy it while telling the rest of the family about their adventure.
The Rubens Pastry Experience is available as part of our Get more for the family package.
A guest preference form will be sent to you upon receiving your booking to clarify your specific requirements.
