Category: Family Fun Dates: Friday, 22 November 2013 to Sunday, 06 January 2013 Hyde Park's much-loved Winter Wonderland will be returning this November, with the aim of getting Londoners excited for the Christmas season. Be prepared for ice skating, fun and excitement at Zippos Circus and a unique bird's-eye view of the capital from the Giant Observation Wheel. There is also festive food to be consumed from the stalls and a picturesque Christmas market boasting handmade jewellery, clothing and accessories - perfect for snapping up a unique gift for that hard-to-buy-for family member. What's more, the park is entirely free to wander through, meaning you won't have to pick up a ticket if in search of that elusive present. Families will not be disappointed as Santa Claus will most definitely be putting in an appearance at the extensive Santaland, which features rides, elves and even the chance to visit the magical Toy Factory. A journey through the magical Ice Kingdom is also an absolute must, with the opportunity to witness astonishing structures carved out of snow and ice - including those made to look like dragons, reindeer and all manner of exciting beasts. Top it all off with a trip to Circus Berserk, another Zippo production that is likely to thrill and enthrall as acrobats fly dramatically through the air, performing all manner of twists and turns. But there's also plenty for the adults to be getting on with as well, with a fully-fledged Bavarian Village that will be filled with sound and music from the ever-present live bands and DJs. Hit the dance floor for a great evening out. With fine food, entertainment and an overall Christmassy vibe, it's difficult to think of a festive activity that beats Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland. Why not complete your visit with a stay at the nearby Rubens at the Palace hotel, which features its very own festive package for all to enjoy?
