Hotel: The Chesterfield Mayfair

Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will co-ordinate the process, from enquiry to confirmation and planning of corporate conferences, private dinning events, weddings or agency bookings for between 6 and 120 people. You will be liaising with the operations team to ensure that the final details are communicated correctly. Finally you might be welcoming clients on arrival dealing with any last minute queries they might have.
Key responsibilities of the Conference & Events Sales Manager include:
• Maintaining a rapport with The Chesterfield’s current clients
• Negotiating rates in line with given rate structure and taking bookings
• Efficient running of the administrative function of the Conference Office
• To maintain a continuous liaison with clients promoting all aspects of the Hotel like accommodation, food and beverage
• To receive and accurately process all correspondence regarding bookings and enquiries including contracting, filling and rooming list management
The ideal candidate for the Conference & Events Sales Manager will have:
• Previous Hotel or venue experience (conference & events sales experience desirable but not essential)
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong numerical and organisation skills
• Previous supervising or managerial experience
• A result driven approach, working towards Key Performance Indicators
Hospitality qualification is desirable but not essential. You need to be eligible to work in the UK without any restrictions.
