Sous Chef

Hotel: The Milestone Hotel

The Milestone’s kitchen team is looking for a Sous Chef to join its award-winning and exciting kitchen brigade.

Main responsibilities of the Sous Chef include:
• ensuring that all kitchen stations deliver to the required standard with the support of the Executive Chef
• assisting the Head Chef with financial planning and budgeting
• ensuring that Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and Fire Prevention regulations are adhered to,
• assisting in food ordering, purchasing and rotating
• training and managing staff

The ideal candidate for the Sous Chef role would have:
• Previous experience in a similar role in a 4 or 5 star Hotel or fine dinning restaurant with 2 or 3 Rosette standards,
• excellent leadership and communication skills
• sound awareness of menu planning and development
• excellent organisational and IT skills
