bbar is a stylish restaurant and lively bar located in Victoria. Our two bars serve an impressive 110 wines and over 60 cocktails. bbar is also available for parties, cocktail receptions, functions and private hire for up to 150 people with a distinct South African theme.

We now have the fantastic opportunity for a Sous Chef to join the friendly kitchen team and experience the polished and professional service that makes this venue one of London’s finest.

Key responsibilities of the Sous Chef will include assisting the Head Chef in the design and preparation of all menus, ·managing the kitchen in Head Chefs absence. You will ensure all kitchen stations deliver to the required standard with the support of the Head Chef while ensuring that Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and Fire Prevention regulations are adhered to. You will assist in food ordering, purchasing and rotating and training and developing staff.

This position has excellent progression opportunities within Red Carnation Hotel collection, the perfect first step to those who are looking for an exciting career in the Kitchen.You will be working an early or a late shift usually between Monday and Friday.The ideal candidate for the Sous Chef should have:

·previous experience in a similar role in a restaurant

·excellent leadership and communication skills

·sound awareness of menu planning and development

·communicate effectively in English

·be eligible to work in the UK
