The Rubens Hotel is a stunning four star hotel located opposite Buckingham Palace Road and a short walking distance from Victoria station.With two Restaurants: the Old Master’s Restaurant & the Library Restaurant, a separate lounge, two bars (including our new Leopard Champagne Bar), and 24-hour room service, the Rubens Kitchen is a busy but a fun place to work in. The kitchen team is looking for a Sous Chef to join its award-winning and exciting kitchen brigade.
Main responsibilities of the Sous Chef include:
Ensuring that all kitchen stations deliver to the required standard with the support of the Executive Chef assisting the Head Chef with financial planning and budgeting
ensuring that Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and Fire Prevention regulations are adhered to,assisting in food ordering, purchasing and rotating training and managing staff
The ideal candidate for the Sous Chef role would have:
Previous experience in a similar role in a 4 or 5 star Hotel or fine dinning restaurantwith 2 or 3 Rosette standards,
excellent leadership and communication skills
sound awareness of menu planning and development
excellent organisational and IT skills
