Enjoy afternoon tea as you watch the world go by in our Palace Lounge overlooking The Royal Mews.
The much anticipated pastry kitchen has finally been installed at The Rubens. Under the supervision of our Pastry Chef and Consultant Vincent Josse, it will now produce the freshest pastries and cakes for our guests to enjoy. The main focus for the pastry kitchen will of course be our afternoon tea, which is set to become one of the best in London.
Interview with the Chef:
Brief history: Vincent has over 10 years of experience as a pastry chef and has worked in the USA, France and the UK, most recently at Summer Lodge.
Favourite pastry: Vacherin (raspberry & vanilla ice-cream with meringue).
Most extravagant creation: A cathedral made of choux buns and caramel for a wedding of 200 people!

We serve Afternoon Tea between 2:00pm and 4:30pm from Monday to Friday and between 1:00pm and 4:30pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
You can also now reserve a table online for one of our delicious afternoon teas, with instant confirmation.
