The family-friendly precursor to the larger Notting Hill Carnival, Notting Hill Nursery Carnival, will take place this summer on August 11th.

Organised by the Children and Parents Carnival Association, the carnival dates back around 20 years and is the perfect family day out for those wishing to avoid the crowds of the main Notting Hill Carnival - which now is second only to the Rio Carnival in terms of size.

Children can get dressed up in costumes and parade down the streets to the music of steel bands while special acts whirl and tumble as part of the atmospheric show.
