A night of election night intrigue awaits theatre-goers at the Royal Court this autumn.

Now or Later, John Shinn's drama set during a US presidential campaign, is running at the Sloane Square venue from September 3rd to October 18th.

The play follows the leader of the Democrat party as his carefully planned run for the presidency appears to be heading towards victory - only for a scandal concerning his son to threaten to derail the entire effort.

Questions of personal duty, religion and freedom of expression are all raised as the pair seek to find a solution to the quickly emerging problem.

The Royal Court has grown to be one of the premier names in UK theatre since the English Stage Company moved to the venue in 1956 - and this latest drama should help maintain that reputation.

But, if Shinn's show does not appeal, then perhaps two tickets to a West End show of one's choice might be preferable.
