Event: National Storytelling Week
Date: January 31st until February 7th
The art of storytelling is alive and well and for one week, this wonderful form of entertainment will be celebrated in all its glory.
Between January 31st and February 7th, families will travel to the capital to enjoy the oldest art form in the world represented in a number of ways, including poetry performance, at the National Storytelling Week.
The event was created by the Society for Storytelling to promote how storytelling is prevalent in every part of our lives, from what we see on television to tales passed down from generation to generation.
Parents keen to tear their children away from the box and expand their young minds will find this festival is a great opportunity for them to learn as well as providing a good chance for mum, dad and the kids to spend some time together.
Children love staying in hotels and where better to rest in the capital than the luxury London hotel the Rubens at the Palace?
The Family Fun deal will give the kids a chance to tour the hotel, prepare a meal for their parents and enjoy a selection of games, as well as providing fluffy slippers and bathrobes to keep them nice and warm.
When it is time for bed, mums and dads can do their own bit of storytelling, setting the young ones off into a deep slumber while they relax in each other's company.
