Great port cities at the London College of Communication

Event: Naming, Being, Seeing: Image and Place as a Void?
Date: January 12th until January 30th

When it comes to the world's great cities, London is well and truly up there with the very best.

Couples looking for a short city break will find everything they need in the capital, including the luxury London hotel the Rubens at the Palace.

While staying at the Rubens, visitors interested in different cities can head to the London College of Communication for the Naming, Being, Seeing: Image and Place as a Void? exhibition.

The showcase explores elements of space, movement and time prevalent in the port cities explored in the Steve Wigginson and Tony Wailey book Edgy Cities.

Visitors will see a display of photographs and text which will seek to explore the not-too-obvious parts of these fascinating locations, looking at how the above issues are prevalent in each and how they have shaped their pasts and futures.

With contributions by photographer John Lafferty, guests will be given an insight into some of the world's best port cities and how iconic figures who originate from them have shaped their memories and perceptions.

After learning about different places, visitors can enjoy the magnificent city they are in by choosing the Rubens hotel's Go See London package, which provides a sightseeing tour of the capital and two tickets for the London Eye.
