Event: Rodchenko and Popova: Defining Constructionism

Guests at the luxury London hotel the Rubens at the Palace can head to the Tate Modern to see an exhibition of work from two of the most influential artists of the Russian avant-garde.
Defining Constructionism will explore the ideas and visions of Alexander Rodchenko and Lyubov Popova and their impact on the art world between 1917 and 1929.
Their influence on the style and theory prevalent in Russian Constructivism cannot be exaggerated and visitors will be taken on a journey on what these men saw and thought when painting a blank canvas.
More than 350 objects will be on display for people to peruse, with the pair's evolution as artists showcased with a collection of their most impressive work.
Their journey from abstract painting to graphic design will also be explored, while posters, books and costumes will make up part of the exhibition as well.
After a day at the Tate Modern, visitors can return to the Rubens for an evening of relaxation.
