Turner Prize at the Tate Britain

For British artists, winning the Turner Prize is like a Hollywood star taking home an Oscar.

Since its inception in 1984, the award has become one of the most prestigious that artists under 50 can win and four of the country's top creative minds will vie for the accolade for 2009.

Enrico David, Roger Hiorns, Lucy Skaer and Richard Wright are the quartet nominated for this year's gong and their works will go on display in the Turner exhibition from early October.

For art lovers, this is the big one, and those travelling from outside the capital can enjoy the showcase for three days if they book a stay at the luxury London hotel the Rubens at the Palace and take advantage of the 3 Nights for the Price of 2 package.

For every three nights booked guests will receive the third absolutely free, giving them an extra evening in a unique and beautiful suite.

That means more time to enjoy the works of these four bright artists whose creative vision and talent makes them stand out from the rest of the contemporary art world.
