Norman Parkinson is one of the great pioneers of fashion photography and, from the beginning of next month, Somerset House will host an exhibition of some of his greatest images to celebrate the launch of a new book.

Guests at the luxury London hotel the Rubens at the Palace will have the opportunity to see some of his most striking pictures and see how his vision has influenced subsequent generations of photographers.

His biggest impact on the world of fashion was to redefine glamour as a concept which is more spontaneous and modern than anyone else had ever seen it before.

After exploring the world of Norman Parkinson, visitors can make the short, six minute journey back to the Rubens and enjoy a chilled glass of champagne, courtesy of the Get More From Your Stay package.

Alternatively, guests can swap the bottle of champagne for a three-course carvery dinner or a romantic turndown on one evening, complete with chocolate-dipped strawberries, rose petals and floating candles.
