What's hot in London this weekend

London has lined up a variety of exciting and entertaining events that promise to make this weekend a rewarding experience for people visiting the capital.

We recommend dressing up warmly and heading to Battersea Park on Saturday for one of the most spectacular fireworks displays in London, which is normally witnessed by thousands of people.

As well as the pyrotechnic show, those attending the event, which also features a bonfire, will be treated to mulled wine accompanied by music.

If being outdoors at night in the chilly weather is not for you, why not drop by the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden for Tchaikovsky's The Sleeping Beauty?

Ninette de Valois and Nicholas Sergeyev's classic production of the story is being presented by the Royal Ballet at the venue, which is less than ten minutes away from luxury London hotel the Rubens at the Palace.

The weekend will also see Asian Art in London take centre stage across the city as an estimated 50 art galleries and antique dealers showcase compositions from the community in special exhibitions accompanied by lectures from leading organisations.

Head to Tate Modern for a series dubbed Generation Berlin Wall, which goes back in time to explore the underground film scene in east and west Berlin during the cold war through screenings, artist talks and informal discussions.

Alternatively, you can join members of the Royal Family on Sunday as they embark on a Remembrance Day Service & Parade at the Cenotaph in Whitehall in honour of war heroes.

Combined with the Lazy Sunday deal at the Rubens, which allows those in need of a lie-in to sleep-in as long they like before enjoying late breakfast at the Old Masters Restaurant, the weekend promises to be worthwhile.
