The Rake's Progress at Covent Garden

Event: The Rake's Progress
When: January 22nd until February 3rd

Stravinsky's only full-length opera, The Rake's Progress, will thrill theatre goers this winter when it comes to the Royal Opera House in January.

Robert Lepage has worked his magic on the Stravinsky classic, adding a 1950s American twist to it, with Toby Spence taking on the character of Tom Rakewell, a Hollywood star who loses everything after reaching the top.

This Royal Opera House revival of the classic opera will feature all the great characters, including the bearded woman Baba the Turk and the 'girl back home' Anne Trulove.

It is the perfect opportunity for couples enjoying a break in the capital to take in one of its fabulous shows before making the short ten-minute journey to the luxury London hotel the Rubens at the Palace to enjoy the rest of the night.

People who opt for the Get More From Your Stay package are treated to a choice from a romantic turndown, three-course carvery dinner or a bottle of Champagne.
