Women Beware Women at the National Theatre

Event: Women Beware Women
Date: April 20th until June 8th

In the Italian court, money equals power and power serves lust.

The Duke is an incredibly wealthy man and thus can do as he pleases.

One day, he catches the eye of Bianca, a stunningly beautiful young woman, but one who is betrothed to another.

Ignoring this fact, he decides that Bianca is the one for him and he readies a bribe for her husband to persuade him to give her up.

Meanwhile, another young woman, Isabella, is at the centre of two men's affections.

Her father, a money-driven character, is keen to marry his daughter off to anyone as long as he has money in his pocket.

Hippolito, unfortunately, does not satisfy this requirement, but he loves her unconditionally, the problem is that he is her uncle.

These two ladies are at the centre of Thomas Middleton's darkly funny tragedy Women Beware Women, which is coming to the National Theatre in mid April.

Written in 1623, the play is the second of Middleton's two great tragedies and will make compelling viewing for theatre fans enjoying a weekend break at the luxury London hotel the Rubens at the Palace.

Before heading to the show, guests can enjoy a three-course carvery dinner courtesy of the Get More From Your Stay package.

Those who prefer can sip Champagne before going out or look forward to a romantic turndown including chocolate and candles the following evening.
