Event: Elektra
Date: June 23rd until July 3rd
Elektra is a confused and tormented young girl.
Her life makes no sense and her path is not clear.
Since the murder of her father, Elektra has sought to find purpose in her life and quell the burning rage and sense of injustice which torments her soul.
But what is the answer?
Will revenge help her achieve the relief and freedom that has eluded her since her father was so cruelly taken away or will it continue to trap her family in the cycle of violence which has blighted their lives?
This masterpiece from the Greek playwright Sophocles is a moving and thought-provoking piece of theatre brought to life brilliantly by director Carrie Cracknell.
Before heading to the Young Vic, guests can enjoy a glass of Pink Champagne at the luxury London hotel the Rubens at the Palace, courtesy of the Get More From Your Stay package.
Alternatively, those who prefer can substitute the bubbly for a three-course carvery dinner or a romantic turndown complete with chocolate-dipped strawberries and floating candles.
