The Greenwich Festivals: Summer Sessions at the Old Royal Naval College

London is widely regarded as being one of the world's leading cultural cities and an upcoming event at the Old Royal Naval College is set to help cement this reputation even further.

The venue, located on the banks of the river Thames, is set to host a four-day outdoor musical extravaganza late next month, which may be an ideal opportunity for those staying at the luxury London hotel the Rubens at the Palace to soak up some summer sun.

Running from July 21st to 25th, The Greenwich Festivals: Summer Sessions will focus on a theme on each of the four days - Rebels, Royals, Rivers and Runners - in order to celebrate the role Greenwich will play in hosting the Olympic Games in 2012.

The Levellers and Seth Lakeman will be performing on the opening night, while the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra are set to take to the stage on Thursday July 22nd and Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra will appear on July 23rd.

Finally, the concerts will conclude with a show from Athlete on July 25th.

Those opting for a stay in Rubens at the Palace can take advantage of the Get More From Your Stay package, where they can choose to receive a Pink Champagne reception on arrival.
