What’s the ultimate attraction in London? The state rooms at Buckingham Palace, of course!
As one of the very few working palaces in the world today these rooms are normally only open to a very select few who are invited to attend state, ceremonial and official occasions. However, during July and September, when the Queen makes her annual visit to Scotland, these 19 rooms are opened to the public.
Forming the heart of the working palace they are lavishly furnished with some of the greatest treasures from the Royal Collection - paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens, Poussin and Canaletto; sculpture by Canova; exquisite examples of Sèvres porcelain; and some of the finest English and French furniture. There’s also a special exhibition to mark the 60th anniversary of the modern Commonwealth.
The team at The Rubens has put together a special royal package that allows you to take full advantage of this rare opportunity.
Prices start from £197.50 (excl. VAT) per night based on two adults sharing a Classic Double room. This offer is available until 28th September 2009. Single and Double occupancy available. A minimum two-night stay applies.
