Discover some of our favourites:
Gin and Tonic Macaron: A gin & tonic is The Queen’s tipple of choice. This macaron has an uncanny G&T flavour without the addition of alcohol.
Lemon and Elderflower Cube: An ode to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s baby Archie: the Royal couple’s wedding cake flavours showcased in a baby box.
Peach Mousse: Grown in the orchards at Windsor Castle, peaches are Queen Elizabeth II’s favourite fruit.
Earl Grey and Chocolate Orange Crown Jewels: Our Earl Grey cheesecake and chocolate mousse Crown Jewels are a homage to Her Majesty, The Queen’s love for tea and especially Earl Grey tea.
Seasonal Rubens Éclair: Inspired by Prince Charles’ sustainability farming.
Discover the exquisite Golden Tips tea
We serve our Royal Afternoon Tea in London’s most regal location, overlooking The Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace. Adding to this already illustrious experience, we are now exclusively serving our freshly baked scones, pastries and finger sandwiches alongside Ceylon Golden Tips, in partnership with specialist tea merchants PMD Tea.
This rare tea is produced in the highlands of Sri Lanka and sold for an unprecedented price of £10,12 s. 6d per lb in 1891 – today, that would equate to £1,260 per lb.
Fully handcrafted and skilfully handpicked by expert tea pluckers at sunset in Sri Lanka, the velvety, silvery tips are carefully turned into gold and sundried on a velvet cloth.
With white glove service, this delicate tea is weighed with precision at The Rubens using golden scales; each tip is placed into the silver teapot individually with golden tweezers. The tea, which is showcased in a mahogany box lined with velvet, is infused with still mineral water to produce an extraordinary liquor and a smooth, light and mellow texture, with hints of fruity notes.
To complete this unique experience, you will be offered a glass of Champagne on arrival and enjoy a Royal Afternoon Tea.
Price: £500 (Includes a glass of Champagne and Royal Afternoon Tea, one stand per serving)
